Israelis Child Prostitution Ring Busted In Colombia

( Middle East Monitor ) Three Israelis were arrested over the weekend in Colombia, along with 15 others, on suspicion of involvement in sex trafficking in the tourist city of Cartagena that included the sexual exploitation of more than 250 women and girls, Israel’s Ynet news reported.

It’s reported that Colombian authorities also asked Interpol to arrest a former Israel soldier deported from Colombia for running a child prostitution ring. Authorities claimed that even after his expulsion, 44-year-old Israeli citizen Assi Ben-Mosh continued to manage his illicit operations in Colombia from afar.

Mosh was deported to Israel after it was discovered that he was part of a group of ex-Israeli soldiers that had turned a small fishing village in Taganga into a “sex and drug den” from their base in a luxury resort, the Benjamin Hostel which was known to locals as “little Israel”.

From “little Israel” Moosh is reported to have run similar clubs exploiting drugs and children in Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín, Ecuador, Mexico and Brazil. Local residents spoke of their relief following his arrest and deportation last November and thought they had seen the back of the former Israeli soldier.

Colombian authorities said that Moosh had harmed the security of the state and its citizens. Reports identified Moosh who was also accused of a number of other charges including tax fraud, drug offenses and inciting children to prostitution.

Moosh denies any connection to the tourism sex ring and, according to Israeli sources, he is currently waging a legal battle to return to Colombia.

The bust over the weekend followed months of surveillance. Authorities said that it was one of the biggest operations to combat child sex trafficking and forced prostitution in Cartagena. In a statement, the attorney general’s office described the victims as “real slaves of the 21st century”.

Colombian child prostitution ring where 250 underage girls were branded with tattoos by their ‘owners’ is smashed as madame who recruited them is arrested

  • Police arrested 18 people after the girls were lured into working at sex parties
  • The alleged ‘Madame’ of the operation was among those detained in the raids
  • Liliana del Carmen Campos Puello allegedly recruited the underage girls

(Daily Mail) A child prostitution ring where more than 250 underage girls were branded with tattoos by their ‘owners’ has been broken up after dramatic raids.

Police arrested 18 people after the girls were lured into coming the Colombian resort of Cartagena under the pretence of working as models there.

Among those detained was the alleged ‘Madame’ of the operation – Liliana del Carmen Campos Puello – and several unnamed Israelis who are believed to be the network’s ringleaders.

They allegedly raped and tattooed all their victims, who were aged between 14 and 17.

Campos Puello was allegedly responsible for finding the girls from the poor neighbourhoods in Colombia and Venezuela.

She allegedly helped them with passports and sent them money for expenses.

But when the girls arrived in Cartagena, they were stripped of their documents and belongings and forced into prostitution.

They were allegedly showcased in catalogues and forced to attend sex parties on luxury yachts and hotels.

Campos Puello hired the girls and introduced them to the clients.

Before each event, she would allegedly always select the best-suited girls from their list.

At least 250 minors were reportedly lured to Cartagena in one year, in what is being called the city’s largest sexual exploitation case.

The Attorney General’s Office said Campos Puello used her contacts to organize events they girls were forced to go to.

She also has a record for heroin trafficking as well as for entering the United States illegally.

‘The Madame has a criminal record for heroin trafficking and illegal entrance into the United States.

‘Additionally, she was in charge of operating a prostitution service in the beach area, as well as using international contacts to organize events where the girls were forced to perform.’

The investigation continues.

Oklahoma Senator Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Trafficking and Child Porn

After being caught red-handed in an act of child sex trafficking and in possession of horrific child porn, an Oklahoma senator is scheduled to be sentenced in September.

https://whiskeytangotexas.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/d09d2-ok2bsenator2bfacing2blife2bfor2bpleading2bguilty2bto2bchild2bsex2btrafficking2band2bgetting2bcaught2bwith2bchild2bporn.png

Over a year has passed since Oklahoma state senator, Ralph Shortey was busted for child sex trafficking and now, on Friday, he’s finally been scheduled for sentencing. In September of 2017, Shortey was accused in a federal indictment of multiple counts of child sex trafficking and child pornography offenses.

In November, Shortey agreed to plead guilty to a single child sex trafficking charge in exchange for the three other charges to be dismissed. He now faces a minimum of 10 years in prison but could be sent away for life. Court documents filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma show that the disgraced two-term former senator will face a sentencing hearing at 10 a.m. Sept. 5. The age of consent for sexual activity is 16 in Oklahoma. However, it is against both state and federal law for anyone under the age of 18 to be involved in the commercial sex industry. As a result, anyone who prostitutes a minor under the age of 18, like Ralph Shortey, can be charged with either child prostitution or trafficking in minors — thus the charge of child sex trafficking.

Body Camera footage, released last year, showed the moment police raided the hotel room occupied by Shortey and his underage victim. In the body camera footage, Shortey appears dumbfounded as he is caught with the underage boy in his room.

The officer says, “He’s 17.”

Shortey replies, “Okay.”

The officer then asks, “What do you mean, ‘Okay’?”

“I didn’t know that,” replies Shortey.

“Can you show me that he is only 17?” Shortey says in the video.

Ironically, and in poor taste, the senator was wearing a t-shirt referencing the Bible scripture Ephesians 5:22, which refers to wives submitting to their husbands. Under the scripture was the phrase, “Now go make me a sandwich.” Shortey was known as the “family values” senator. “Mr. Shortey feels this is a necessary step in putting this painful and humiliating ordeal behind him, for both himself, his family and for the state of Oklahoma,” Shortey’s attorney Ed Blau said.

After the federal grand jury meeting in Oklahoma City returned their four indictments, Shorty, 35, originally pleaded not guilty. He wiped away tears as officials read out his child sex trafficking and child pornography offenses. However, given the evidence against him, as detailed in the graphic federal indictment, Shortey’s attorneys likely knew he had no grounds for a not guilty plea. Despite being caught in the act at a Super 8 motel room in Moore, Oklahoma, Shortey was released after agreeing to a series of stringent conditions including wearing an ankle monitor and having his computer monitored. As TFTP previously reported, the charges came after Shortey was busted in a motel room in March of 2017 with an underage boy.

The investigation was launched when the teen boy’s parents called police after finding disturbing text messages between him and their son. When police began their investigation into the texts, they found Senator Ralph Shortey in a motel room with the boy. As KOCO 5 reported at the time, police obtained a search warrant that was served during the investigation. Using the search warrant, police said they found the juvenile’s Kindle Fire tablet that contained conversations between him and Shortey pertaining to sexual activities in exchange for money. The tablet was seized as evidence.

During the raid on the hotel room, the boy admitted to selling weed to Shortey in the past and said he had known him for about a year. When police searched the Kindle found in the room, they found evidence of Shortey attempting to solicit “sexual” stuff from the underage teen. Police also noted that they smelled marijuana and found a backpack with a bottle of lotion and condoms, according to the report.

Showing the bipartisan nature of sex abuse among the political elite, Shortey was also the state chair of President Donald Trump’s campaign during the primary elections. He was known as a “family values” conservative. Sex abuse among the political elite knows no party line and those who attempt to use the abuser’s party affiliation for political gain do a disservice to the victims and guarantee no solution to the horrific problem. Sex abuse is rampant on both sides of the aisle and it exists from the lowest ranking cop all the way to the president.

Shortey resigned only weeks after the scandal began to unfold and he maintained his innocence despite the horrific child pornography found on his devices. According to News Oklahoma. The federal grand jury accused Shortey in the first child pornography count of using his smartphone in October 2013 to email a video of a man engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a prepubescent girl. He is accused in the second child pornographic count of using his smartphone that same month to email sexually explicit videos of young boys… accused in the third child pornography count of persuading the boy he later took to the Moore hotel to send him an inappropriate picture and accused in the child sex trafficking count of soliciting that boy in March to engage in a commercial sex act. The boy is identified in the indictment only as “John Doe.”

Since he was elected in 2010, the senator has led a secret double life, according to the indictment. For over seven years, through a series of fake names and fake email addresses, Shortey dealt in child pornography and began soliciting minors. As news Oklahoma reports, federal prosecutors revealed in a court filing that the investigation found Shortey communicated “with numerous individuals, many of whom appear to be underage boys.”

In just under two months, we will see if the state is willing to hold this child predator accountable for his crimes.

Texas Mother Sentenced To 40 Years Jail For Pimping Out Her 2 Yr Old Daughter

A Texas woman has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars for attempting to sell her two-year-old daughter for a sex act, for $1,200, to an undercover police officer who was impersonating a pedophile.

Mother Teresa’s Charity Caught Selling Children To Elite Pedophiles

The headquarters of Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity has been raided by police and some of the deceased Catholic saint’s closest colleagues have been arrested for allegedly selling babies and young children to elite pedophiles.

The police raid comes just three years after Pope Francis canonized Mother Teresa, making her a saint in the Catholic tradition. However there have been rumors in the region regarding human trafficking and the real nature of Mother Teresa’s charity for decades.

Police finally took action after the state’s Child Welfare Committee (CWC) registered a complaint. Early reports indicate the rumors were right all along.

We have found out that some other babies have also been illegally sold from the centre,” a police official told BBC Hindi’s Niraj Sinha. “We have obtained the names of the mothers of these babies and are further investigating.

Police also recovered 140,000 rupees ($2,150) from the center, which is located in Jharkhand’s capital, Ranchi.

At the moment police are holding three staff members in custody, however reports from India indicate the scandal runs much deeper. Pedophile elites in the country are known to have an insatiable desire for babies and infants, and Catholic non-profits such as Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity have long been rumored to facilitate the trade.

Missionaries of Charity, which has many centers in India, runs homes for unmarried pregnant women. But they stopped arranging adoptions three years ago after a government crackdown on their practices and they were unable to comply with new adoption laws.

The police raid has stunned the nation of India as well as the Catholic world and is the latest blow to Mother Teresa’s reputation. Regarded as a living saint while she was alive, in hindsight it is hard to view her actions with anything other than horror. Mother Teresa claimed to help the poor and the sick, but her very beliefs and practices ensured they were mired in poverty and pain till their dying days.

ATI reports: Though Mother Theresa’s medical centers were meant to heal people, patients were subjected to conditions that often made them even sicker. In the British documentary Hells Angels an Indian journalist compared Mother Teresa’s flagship location for “Missionaries of Charity” to photographs he had seen of Nazi Germany’s Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

“Workers washed needles under tap water and then reused them. Medicine and other vital items were stored for months on end, expiring and still applied sporadically to patients,” said Hemley Gonzalez, a noted humanitarian worker in Indoa, when describing the Missionaries of Charity location he briefly volunteered at.

“Volunteers with little or no training carried out dangerous work on patients with highly contagious cases of tuberculosis and other life-threatening illnesses. The individuals who operated the charity refused to accept and implement medical equipment and machinery that would have safely automated processes and saved lives.”

It wasn’t just a select few cynical journalists who criticized Mother Teresa’s hospice care, either. In her hospice care centers, Mother Teresa practiced her belief that patients only needed to feel wanted and die at peace with God — not receive proper medical care — and medical experts went after her for it.

In 1994, the British medical journal The Lancet claimed that medicine was scarce in her hospice centers and that patients received nothing close to what they needed to relieve their pain.

Doctors took to calling her locations “homes for the dying,” and such a name was warranted. Mother Teresa’s Calcutta home for the sick had a mortality rate of more than 40 percent. But in her view, this wasn’t a bad thing, as she believed that the suffering of the poor and sick was more of a glory than a burden.

“There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion,” Mother Teresa said. “The world gains much from their suffering.”

When it came to her own suffering, however, Mother Teresa took a different stance. The ailing altruist received care for her failing heart in a modern American hospital.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Mother Theresa had connections to corrupt world leadership. While neglecting the needs of the sick, Mother Teresa rubbed elbows with the powerful.

She had a close relationship with the Haitian dictator and tyrant Jean-Claude Duvalier, who was charged with crimes against humanity for his abuse of fellow Haitians.

She also received $1.25 million from her friend Charles Keating.

Keating was one of the key figures behind the 1980s savings and loan crisis, brought about by housing market and loan speculation, which ended up costing American taxpayers $124 billion.

And speaking of money…

Nobody knows where all her money went.

Well-meaning Catholics gave money to Mother Theresa’s charitable organizations, but many of them would never see their money go toward good works.

Keating’s $1.25 million donation alone would seem large enough to lift all of those in her care out of poverty, but one volunteer said that “even when bread was over at the soup kitchens, none was bought unless donated.” In one incident, after running up an $800 tab at a grocery store to feed people at her charity, Mother Teresa refused to get out of line until someone else paid.

The German magazine Stern estimated that only seven percent of the millions of dollars Teresa received was used for charity.

Veteran’s On Patrol Find Child’s Body In Arizona Desert After Child Trafficking Camp Discovery

URGENT: VOP Finds Child’s Body in Arizona Desert – Cadaver Dogs and Handlers Needed

VOP Photos of  Child Sized Human Skull They Found in Arizona Desert Today, June 7, 2018.

It is with great sadness that we report that Veteran’s On Patrol (VOP) has found a human body in the desert, which, by the size, appears to be the body of a small child.  Go to the link below to watch their video:

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1423878191092423&id=1415347948612114

This is a sad and enraging discovery, but maybe now Arizona law enforcement agencies and federal law enforcement will finally take this seriously and we can  see real action taken and justice done.  This also shows exactly why we put out a call to action yesterday, asking our experienced LEO, military, and search and rescue personnel to volunteer to go down there to the Tucson area and lend a hand by looking for additional sites and evidence of child sex trafficking.

And this discovery of a child’s body by VOP shows why we asked for dog handlers with cadaver dogs, in our call to action yesterday:

Dog handlers and dogs.   We need search and rescue handler’s that would be able to bring their own dog and be prepared to sustain themselves and the dog.  We can also use retired police officers who might still have a working dog or current serving officers that would be willing to come down off-duty and utilize their dogs.  Cadaver dogs would also be extremely helpful.   God knows what we might find out there in the desert. They are going to either need to be from the southwest or realize the fact they will have to allow time for the dog to adjust to the hot weather, and also be able to cool the dog off in a vehicle (emphasis added).

Unfortunately, we now know exactly what we can expect to find out there in the desert.   And we now ask, once again, for those of you who are trained dog handlers, and especially with cadaver dogs, to step up and volunteer to help.   Email us at:  childshield@oathkeepers.org

If you know a dog handler with a dog, please forward this to them, along with our call to action, and encourage them to volunteer.  We need them!

https://www.oathkeepers.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/rape-tree-600x600.jpg

As we said yesterday, we need skilled LEO, military, search and rescue, trackers, and dog handlers to get down there and help locate other suspected human trafficking/child sex trafficking sites, and now, they need to be actively looking for other bodies.

It is sickening to know this is happening on American soil, but it is time to face reality and do something about it. And it is time to demand that President Trump do something about it too.  He has the authority, the means, and the duty to seal the border using all the massive assets of the Department of Defense and the U.S. military.   He needs to do it.  As commander-in-chief, he can issue an order to the U.S. military to seal the border now, immediately.   He doesn’t need to wait for Congress.  And he also has the full authority to call up the militia – both the organized militia in the form of the National Guard, and the unorganized militia, in the form of US.  We the people are the rest of the militia that President Trump can, should, and must call up into federal service under his command to seal the border and put an end to child rape, child sex slave trafficking across the border (both ways) and to put an end to child murder by these foreign enemies, on American soil.   He can start by calling up all of us trained military, police, and first responder veterans.  We would be honored to serve.

Meanwhile, let’s show by our own actions that we are committed to doing whatever it takes to put an end to this nightmare of child sex trafficking and murder on American soil.   Answer our call to action!  Get up, gear up, and be ready to go.   And if you can’t make it yourself, then support those who can and will.   Support VOP, Craig Sawyer’s Veterans for Child Rescue, and please support our call to action and our Operation Child Shield.  We need you help and support.   And the more we bring light and heat to this situation, the more likely President Trump will be to take decisive action.

The VOP crew and their allies on the ground in Arizona are doing all the heavy lifting, and they need help. Let’s roll.

US Veterans Find Child’s Body, Skull, Bones Scattered near Alleged Arizona ‘Child Trafficking Camp’

The veterans and civilians who have been occupying and investigating what they believe are child-sex trafficking camps in Tuscon, Arizona discovered a child’s skull, scattered bones and the dead body of a child in the vicinity of the site Thursday.

As the Gateway Pundit reported, Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer,  founder of the homeless Veterans advocacy group Veterans on Patrol, has been livestreaming videos on Facebook as he tours the alleged sex camp he stumbled upon last Tuesday.

Authorities have insisted that the encampment is not a crime scene, concluding that “there is no indication this camp is being used for any type of criminal activity, including human trafficking.” But Meyers, with the assistance of civilians, has discovered evidence they argue proves the site warrants criminal investigation.

Trees with wrist restraints were found on the camp grounds along with children’s clothing, pornographic material, dozens of boxes of brunette hair dye, boxes of condoms, sex lubrication, baby crib, a stroller, an outdoor bathroom, children’s dolls and a 5 feet tall underground septic tank that Meyers has described  ‘as being impossible for a child to escape from.’

https://www.oathkeepers.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/rape-tree-600x600.jpg

A local rancher alerted  U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the Tuscon sheriff’s department and Veterans on Patrol on Thursday, notifying them that he found a child’s skull and a child’s corpse at the alleged sex camp.

“As of right now we have uncovered a small child’s body. The Sheriff’s department is in route. My team said there are reports of bones that have been sawed off, but this definitely human cadaver. This is between the ages of 9 and 14 years old. It’s still decomposing. The spine is still attached to the skull,” Meyer explains in a video streamed live on Facebook.

(Meyer’s begins recording footage of the human remains at the 10 minute mark in the video.)

The rancher found the skull and corpse claims that when he informed the border patrol agent of what he found, the agent was indifferent and refused to report the finding to the sheriff’s department.

“We found a skull with the jaw ripped off, all the teeth were missing, the spinal cord was still connected to the skull. I told them all that stuff and they just said to contact the sheriff. I asked if they had a better way of contacting the them because they have radios and everything, and he just shook his head no,” Danny explains in the video. “Pretty much told us we are shit out of luck, we have to call them ourselves. Why would they not secure a scene?”

Meyers claims he has since discovered two more camp grounds since he stumbled upon the first one last Tuesday by following a path marked by black and white  jugs.

“I found two camps that were abandoned marked by white jugs, signs that show they were being used by coyote,” he says in the video. “Follow the black jugs that’s all you have to do. The third one was found by a rancher.”

The land on which the encampment is located is owned by Cemex Construction Materials South, LLLC., a multinational building materials company in Mexico and partner of the Clinton Global Initiative.

CEMEX received a $7 million contract from the Clinton Global Initiative to build houses in Haiti during Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State in 2012, nearly two and half years after the quake.

According to federal lobbying disclosures, Cemex donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

Chelsea Clinton attacked Tuscon local media for investigating claims about the camp, tweeting on June 6, “Of course there’s a #Pizzagate 2.0. Of course there is. If you have been a victim of trafficking or have suspicions of actual trafficking, please reach out to the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888.”

Child Trafficking Camp Discovered In Arizona

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/camp-arizona.jpg

A group of veterans, who scour bridges and washes to find and aid fellow veterans who are homeless, discovered what appears to be an encampment holding area for children sold as sex slaves.

Veterans on Patrol stumbled upon the encampment in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, but it wasn’t a typical homeless camp.

In the middle of the desert, they found trees with restraints on them at the site, children’s clothing, a baby crib, a stroller, an outdoor bathroom, pornographic material, hair dye and a five feet tall underground cave that had a dresser and crates. The cave was not big enough for an adult, but a child could easily fit inside.

“The solar lights are what gave it away. If we hadn’t been walking on the right trail we would have never seen it, we would have walked right past it,” one of the veterans, Lewis Arthur, told Arizona local affiliate KOLD. “And we are right there and our city is right there, our children are right there and it’s not my problem if it’s not in my backyard. Now it’s in our backyard.”

After finding the encampment, the a homeless advocacy group notified Veterans For Children Rescue, “a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist law enforcement and Non-Governmental Organizations to eliminate Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking,” according to the organization’s website.

“I didn’t expect to see something this heinous and inhumane this close,” Craig Sawyer, founder of Veterans For Children, said. “I served in the military to keep things like this from happening here, that’s why I risked my security, so nobody here would have to put up with this.”

Sawyer, a Marine sniper and a member of Navy SEAL Team Six, said they did not find anyone at the site, but it appeared like someone had been there about 10 days earlier.

While he has “heard of rooms full of kids in houses and basements and things like that,” while investigating child sex trafficking, Sawyer noted he had never encountered anything “underground like this.”

“An underground cell, that’s pretty creepy,” he said. “In fact there’s another one nearby that they found that they are already digging with fresh tools and fresh dirt.”

Sawyer founded Veterans 4 Child Rescue Foundation in 2017 and has since dedicated his life to raising awareness about child sex slavery, rescuing victims and putting child sex traffickers behind bars. He works with police departments to run covert operations across the country and recruited an elite force with world class skill sets — former FBI, CIA, Delta Force and Seal Team 6 — to extract victims and thin the herd of sex traffickers.

Weeks after launching his non profit organization, the former Navy Seal warned that two groups have been working to derail his efforts.

“One of them is the Muslim brotherhood. We’ve known they are on the wrong side of history from the beginning – deep ties to terrorism and everything else – pedophilia, there’s no surprise there,” he explained in a video posted on YouTube. “Another one is one of our two major political parties.”

Update: ‘Child Trafficking Camp’ Discovered in Arizona is Located on Clinton Foundation Donor CEMEX Property

Dozens of American citizens have joined forces with veterans to expose what they believe is a child-trafficking camp hidden inside the Arizona woods.

Veterans on Patrol, a homeless Veterans advocacy group, stumbled upon the encampment in Tucson, last Tuesday, but it wasn’t a typical homeless camp.

As Gateway Pundit reported on Sunday , the team of veterans found trees with restraints on them at the site, children’s clothing, a baby crib, a stroller, an outdoor bathroom, toys, pornographic material, hair dye, boxes of condom and a 5 feet tall underground cave that had a dresser and crates.

The cave the was not big enough for an adult, but a child could easily fit inside.

The land on which the bunker was found is owned by Cemex Construction Materials South, LLC., a multinational building materials company in Mexico and partner of the Clinton Global Initiative.

CEMEX received a $7 million contract from the Clinton Global Initiative to build houses in Haiti during Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State in 2012, nearly two and half years after the quake.

According to federal lobbying disclosures, Cemex donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/3derswonow111.png

Veterans on Patrol are occupying the encampment area until the site is fully secured and are using Youtube and FacebookLive broadcasts to document evidence they believe proves the location is a child sex trafficking camp using the hashtags #OperationBackyardBrawl and #WhereAreTheChildren.

YouTube is said to have removed much of the footage from their platform in what seems to be an effort to censor this massive finding (protecting their friends in high places).

Little Barbies: Sex Trafficking of Young Girls Is America’s Dirty Little Secret

Quentin Tarantino Describes How Hollywood Elite View Sex With Children

https://www.rutherford.org/files_images/general/02-06-2018_Commentary_700x210-01.png

Children are being targeted and sold for sex in America every day.”—John Ryan, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

They’re called the Little Barbies.

Children, young girls—some as young as 9 years old—are being bought and sold for sex in America. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old.

This is America’s dirty little secret.

Sex trafficking—especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls—has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.

As investigative journalist Amy Fine Collins notes, “It’s become more lucrative and much safer to sell malleable teens than drugs or guns. A pound of heroin or an AK-47 can be retailed once, but a young girl can be sold 10 to 15 times a day—and a ‘righteous’ pimp confiscates 100 percent of her earnings.”

Consider this: every two minutes, a child is exploited in the sex industry.

According to USA Today, adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the United States.

Who buys a child for sex? Otherwise ordinary men from all walks of life.

They could be your co-worker, doctor, pastor or spouse,” writes journalist Tim Swarens, who spent more than a year investigating the sex trade in America.

In Georgia alone, it is estimated that 7,200 men (half of them in their 30s) seek to purchase sex with adolescent girls each month, averaging roughly 300 a day.

On average, a child might be raped by 6,000 men during a five-year period of servitude.

It is estimated that at least 100,000 children—girls and boys—are bought and sold for sex in the U.S. every year, with as many as 300,000 children in danger of being trafficked each year. Some of these children are forcefully abducted, others are runaways, and still others are sold into the system by relatives and acquaintances.

“Human trafficking—the commercial sexual exploitation of American children and women, via the Internet, strip clubs, escort services, or street prostitution—is on its way to becoming one of the worst crimes in the U.S.,” said prosecutor Krishna Patel.

This is an industry that revolves around cheap sex on the fly, with young girls and women who are sold to 50 men each day for $25 apiece, while their handlers make $150,000 to $200,000 per child each year.

This is not a problem found only in big cities.

It’s happening everywhere, right under our noses, in suburbs, cities and towns across the nation.

As Ernie Allen of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children points out, “The only way not to find this in any American city is simply not to look for it.”

Don’t fool yourselves into believing that this is merely a concern for lower income communities or immigrants.

It’s not.

It is estimated that there are 100,000 to 150,000 under-aged child sex workers in the U.S. These girls aren’t volunteering to be sex slaves. They’re being lured—forced—trafficked into it. In most cases, they have no choice.

In order to avoid detection (in some cases aided and abetted by the police) and cater to male buyers’ demand for sex with different women, pimps and the gangs and crime syndicates they work for have turned sex trafficking into a highly mobile enterprise, with trafficked girls, boys and women constantly being moved from city to city, state to state, and country to country.

For instance, the Baltimore-Washington area, referred to as The Circuit, with its I-95 corridor dotted with rest stops, bus stations and truck stops, is a hub for the sex trade.

No doubt about it: this is a highly profitable, highly organized and highly sophisticated sex trafficking business that operates in towns large and small, raking in upwards of $9.5 billion a year in the U.S. alone by abducting and selling young girls for sex.

Every year, the girls being bought and sold gets younger and younger.

The average age of those being trafficked is 13. Yet as the head of a group that combats trafficking pointed out, “Let’s think about what average means. That means there are children younger than 13. That means 8-, 9-, 10-year-olds.

“For every 10 women rescued, there are 50 to 100 more women who are brought in by the traffickers. Unfortunately, they’re not 18- or 20-year-olds anymore,” noted a 25-year-old victim of trafficking. “They’re minors as young as 13 who are being trafficked. They’re little girls.”

Where did this appetite for young girls come from?

Look around you.

Young girls have been sexualized for years now in music videos, on billboards, in television ads, and in clothing stores. Marketers have created a demand for young flesh and a ready supply of over-sexualized children.

“All it takes is one look at [certain social media] photos of teens to see examples—if they aren’t imitating porn they’ve actually seen, they’re imitating the porn-inspired images and poses they’ve absorbed elsewhere,” writes Jessica Bennett for Newsweek. “Latex, corsets and stripper heels, once the fashion of porn stars, have made their way into middle and high school.”

This is what Bennett refers to as the “pornification of a generation.”

“In a market that sells high heels for babies and thongs for tweens, it doesn’t take a genius to see that sex, if not porn, has invaded our lives,” concludes Bennett. “Whether we welcome it or not, television brings it into our living rooms and the Web brings it into our bedrooms. According to a 2007 study from the University of Alberta, as many as 90 percent of boys and 70 percent of girls aged 13 to 14 have accessed sexually explicit content at least once.”

In other words, the culture is grooming these young people to be preyed upon by sexual predators. And then we wonder why our young women are being preyed on, trafficked and abused?

Social media makes it all too easy. As one news center reported, “Finding girls is easy for pimps. They look on MySpace, Facebook, and other social networks. They and their assistants cruise malls, high schools and middle schools. They pick them up at bus stops. On the trolley. Girl-to-girl recruitment sometimes happens.”Foster homes and youth shelters have also become prime targets for traffickers.

Rarely do these girls enter into prostitution voluntarily. Many start out as runaways or throwaways, only to be snatched up by pimps or larger sex rings. Others, persuaded to meet up with a stranger after interacting online through one of the many social networking sites, find themselves quickly initiated into their new lives as sex slaves.

Debbie, a straight-A student who belonged to a close-knit Air Force family living in Phoenix, Ariz., is an example of this trading of flesh. Debbie was 15 when she was snatched from her driveway by an acquaintance-friend. Forced into a car, Debbie was bound and taken to an unknown location, held at gunpoint and raped by multiple men. She was then crammed into a small dog kennel and forced to eat dog biscuits. Debbie’s captors advertised her services on Craigslist. Those who responded were often married with children, and the money that Debbie “earned” for sex was given to her kidnappers. The gang raping continued. After searching the apartment where Debbie was held captive, police finally found Debbie stuffed in a drawer under a bed. Her harrowing ordeal lasted for 40 days.

While Debbie was fortunate enough to be rescued, others are not so lucky. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, nearly 800,000 children go missing every year (roughly 2,185 children a day).

With a growing demand for sexual slavery and an endless supply of girls and women who can be targeted for abduction, this is not a problem that’s going away anytime soon.

For those trafficked, it’s a nightmare from beginning to end.

Those being sold for sex have an average life expectancy of seven years, and those years are a living nightmare of endless rape, forced drugging, humiliation, degradation, threats, disease, pregnancies, abortions, miscarriages, torture, pain, and always the constant fear of being killed or, worse, having those you love hurt or killed.

Peter Landesman paints the full horrors of life for those victims of the sex trade in his New York Times article “The Girls Next Door”:

Andrea told me that she and the other children she was held with were frequently beaten to keep them off-balance and obedient. Sometimes they were videotaped while being forced to have sex with adults or one another. Often, she said, she was asked to play roles: the therapist patient or the obedient daughter. Her cell of sex traffickers offered three age ranges of sex partners–toddler to age 4, 5 to 12 and teens–as well as what she called a “damage group.” “In the damage group, they can hit you or do anything they want to,” she explained. “Though sex always hurts when you are little, so it’s always violent, everything was much more painful once you were placed in the damage group.”

What Andrea described next shows just how depraved some portions of American society have become. “They’d get you hungry then to train you” to have oral sex. “They put honey on a man. For the littlest kids, you had to learn not to gag. And they would push things in you so you would open up better. We learned responses. Like if they wanted us to be sultry or sexy or scared. Most of them wanted you scared. When I got older, I’d teach the younger kids how to float away so things didn’t hurt.”

Immigration and customs enforcement agents at the Cyber Crimes Center in Fairfax, Va., report that when it comes to sex, the appetites of many Americans have now changed. What was once considered abnormal is now the norm. These agents are tracking a clear spike in the demand for harder-core pornography on the Internet. As one agent noted, “We’ve become desensitized by the soft stuff; now we need a harder and harder hit.”

This trend is reflected by the treatment many of the girls receive at the hands of the drug traffickers and the men who purchase them. Peter Landesman interviewed Rosario, a Mexican woman who had been trafficked to New York and held captive for a number of years. She said: “In America, we had ‘special jobs.’ Oral sex, anal sex, often with many men. Sex is now more adventurous, harder.”

A common thread woven through most survivors’ experiences is being forced to go without sleep or food until they have met their sex quota of at least 40 men. One woman recounts how her trafficker made her lie face down on the floor when she was pregnant and then literally jumped on her back, forcing her to miscarry.

Holly Austin Smith was abducted when she was 14 years old, raped, and then forced to prostitute herself. Her pimp, when brought to trial, was only made to serve a year in prison.

Barbara Amaya was repeatedly sold between traffickers, abused, shot, stabbed, raped, kidnapped, trafficked, beaten, and jailed all before she was 18 years old. “I had a quota that I was supposed to fill every night. And if I didn’t have that amount of money, I would get beat, thrown down the stairs. He beat me once with wire coat hangers, the kind you hang up clothes, he straightened it out and my whole back was bleeding.”

As David McSwane recounts in a chilling piece for the Herald-Tribune: “In Oakland Park, an industrial Fort Lauderdale suburb, federal agents in 2011 encountered a brothel operated by a married couple. Inside ‘The Boom Boom Room,’ as it was known, customers paid a fee and were given a condom and a timer and left alone with one of the brothel’s eight teenagers, children as young as 13. A 16-year-old foster child testified that he acted as security, while a 17-year-old girl told a federal judge she was forced to have sex with as many as 20 men a night.”

One particular sex trafficking ring catered specifically to migrant workers employed seasonally on farms throughout the southeastern states, especially the Carolinas and Georgia, although it’s a flourishing business in every state in the country. Traffickers transport the women from farm to farm, where migrant workers would line up outside shacks, as many as 30 at a time, to have sex with them before they were transported to yet another farm where the process would begin all over again.

This growing evil is, for all intents and purposes, out in the open.

Trafficked women and children are advertised on the internet, transported on the interstate, and bought and sold in swanky hotels.

Indeed, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, the government’s war on sex trafficking—much like the government’s war on terrorism, drugs and crime—has become a perfect excuse for inflicting more police state tactics (police check points, searches, surveillance, and heightened security) on a vulnerable public, while doing little to make our communities safer.

So what can you do?

Educate yourselves and your children about this growing menace in our communities.

Stop feeding the monster: Sex trafficking is part of a larger continuum in America that runs the gamut from homelessness, poverty, and self-esteem issues to sexualized television, the glorification of a pimp/ho culture—what is often referred to as the pornification of America—and a billion dollar sex industry built on the back of pornography, music, entertainment, etc.

This epidemic is largely one of our own making, especially in a corporate age where the value placed on human life takes a backseat to profit. It is estimated that the porn industry brings in more money than Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Yahoo.

Call on your city councils, elected officials and police departments to make the battle against sex trafficking a top priority, more so even than the so-called war on terror and drugs and the militarization of law enforcement.

Stop prosecuting adults for victimless “crimes” such as growing lettuce in their front yard and focus on putting away the pimps and buyers who victimize these young women.

Finally, the police need to do a better job of training, identifying and responding to these issues; communities and social services need to do a better job of protecting runaways, who are the primary targets of traffickers; legislators need to pass legislation aimed at prosecuting traffickers and “johns,” the buyers who drive the demand for sex slaves; and hotels need to stop enabling these traffickers, by providing them with rooms and cover for their dirty deeds.

That so many women and children continue to be victimized, brutalized and treated like human cargo is due to three things: one, a consumer demand that is increasingly lucrative for everyone involved—except the victims; two, a level of corruption so invasive on both a local and international scale that there is little hope of working through established channels for change; and three, an eerie silence from individuals who fail to speak out against such atrocities.

But the truth is that we are all guilty of contributing to this human suffering. The traffickers are guilty. The consumers are guilty. The corrupt law enforcement officials are guilty. The women’s groups who do nothing are guilty. The foreign peacekeepers and aid workers who contribute to the demand for sex slaves are guilty. Most of all, every individual who does not raise a hue and cry over the atrocities being committed against women and children in almost every nation around the globe—including the United States—is guilty.
